Physical Therapy

Physical therapy is effectively used to assist in the overall treatment protocol.  While physical therapy does not treat the root of your condition like manipulation will, it does, however, help to reduce immflamation,  increase blood circulation, strengthen muscles, and promote healing.  Dr. Winchell may include in your treatment:  Inferential Therapy, Intersegmental Spinal Mobilization, Trigger Point Therapy, Ultra Sound, Massage, Cryotherapy, and/or heat.

 

Diagnostics

MyoVision® Spinal EMG
Surface EMG will take measurements of muscle activity in the spine and highlight areas of abnormal function that cause nerve interference, affecting muscles, blood vessels and internal organs.

Patients receive a Myovision surface EMG scan as part of their initial consultation, and may receive re-scans to check progress.  These scans are quick, completely painless, and do not emit anything harmful – it is even perfectly safe to use on pregnant women and children.

 

X-ray
When further testing is necessary, Dr. Winchell may need to take x-rays in order to more clearly diagnose and treat your condition.  A licensed radiologist, Dr. Winchell can perform this for you immediately in our office.
